Utopia Village is an adventure scuba diving and spa resort located on Utila, the smallest of The Bay Islands of Honduras. This casually elegant Caribbean hotel complex is nestled in the lush tropical jungle right on a quarter mile of beautiful sandy beach with abundant coral reefs. The hotel owners live on site assuring the utmost attention to customer service and details.
Utopia’s greatest asset is the world-class reef just at its front door. Divers will delight in the purple sea fan garden, giant Stag Horn and Elk Horn coral formations and the variety of marine life including turtles, rays, lobster, Queen Angels and much more! Common Conditions

Rooms & Dining
Located on 500 feet of private beach, all 16 rooms have ocean views and spectacular views of the mountains across on the mainland. Custom designed island style rooms provide AC, fans, private bath and spacious balconies all with ocean views.
Only resort on Utila with an Eco Permit from the central Honduran government. Building and site design followed strict guidelines in reef, jungle and marsh preservation, drainage, septic, water catchment systems, recycling.
The restaurant features cuisine prepared by a 4-star chef and is included with all packages due to the “remote boat access” location of the hotel.

Diving
Best shore diving around Utila that has been described as World Class by guests. Shore diving is complimentary and unlimited with gear valet service to the drop off points. Sits on the Western Hemispheres largest reef. The shallows by the resort feature sandy channels and canyons with purple sea fans and coral heads. The wall is a mere 50 foot swim from Utopia’s beach and drops to 130 feet offering a great easy going drift dive from the dock down to our “Dive Bar” located on the beach in front of the resort. Big things to see: Eagle Rays, Hawksbill Turtles, Queen Angels, lobster, octopus, school of Blue Tang, Christmas Tree Worms…you name it!
We have one dive boat limited to 20 divers, thus allowing our staff to focus on quality of diving adventures, not quantity of divers. All staff live on site and commune with divers and snorkelers in the afternoon and evenings. The full service PADI dive shop is also available for courses and guided shore diving and night diving.

Activities & Other Amenities
On-site amenities include the beachfront bar, full service PADI dive shop, spa and a host of complimentary activities such as snorkeling or diving the house reef. Alternatively, try one or more of the tailored to suit vacation adventures such as the Whale Shark and Dolphin lecture and boat trip, fishing excursions, eco-tours and day trips to mainland Honduras for jungle hikes, zip lining and Mayan ruins.
